You must be at least thirteen to register. This is not a site rule, but a server rule.
You must read all the threads in the 'New Wand Holders' board first before registering with us.
When registering, use your characters first and last name like this: harrypotter. (for characters like Ron Weasley you can have ronweasley or ronaldweasley).
It would be helpful to check the member list to keep the different chosen names varied.
The site is rated PG:13. Sexual and violent scenes should be handled carefully, meaning no overly graphic details. Cursing is allowed but please keep it to a minimum. If this becomes a problem, word filters will be put into place.
Canons come first. This forum will not be successful as a Harry Potter roleplay if we find ourselves lacking those all important characters. For every five characters you take on, two must be canons.
For your character application, please use this > < image for the message icon to show it's a profile.
Once joined please start and finish your character application within a week or your account will be deleted.
Character Applications should at least have the full first and last name in the subject title.
If you can't finish your character application in one go, please put > {WIP} < at the end of the subject title to show us it's a work in progress and yet to be finished. Take that out when it's done and ready to be approved or not.
All playbys must be celebrities or models, no anime or anything else of the sort. Playbys must be registered in the face claim thread. If you don't, someone else is free to use it.
Love variety. There are different user groups and types of characters one can have. Make a tribute, have a female death eater for example and then for your next character have a male student. We don't want lots of females and no males. If balance becomes an issue, bans will be enforced on certain user groups.
There is currently no character limits as long as you can keep all your characters active. More details of this are below.
All levels of experience are accepted, as long as the person in question can post at least one long decent paragraph or two small ones.
Write your posts in third person and keep in mind you're not writing your own diary. Do not just any slang words such as 'lol' or 'omg'.
There is no word count, quality is better then quantity. Make sure you give others something to reply to.
Godmodding. Unless you have been given permission to do so, do not godmod other peoples characters.
Be realistic. You're not so fast that you can miss every attack. If you feel like someone is being unfair in a fight, please let member of the staff know. (PM 'admin' or 'tomriddle')
Character deaths, marriage or having kids must be authorized by staff.
Spell Check your posts whether it's your application or a in character reply. There's no excuse for poor spelling and grammar when most browsers have built in spell-check and grammar-check. It does not take one long to reread what they have written either.
Read and follow the information in the 'Posting' thread in this board.
If you’re using a graphic made by someone else, credit them.
Signatures can be no larger then 600 pixels width by 350 height.
Avatar sizes are 150 pixels width by 300 height.
Thread posted images can be no larger then 600 pixels in width.
Any not meeting this requirement will be automatically re-sized to fix.
Each of your characters must post once a week, this can be starting or replying to a thread and a owl post. If you are sending out invitations or flyers (anything of the same sent to various people) this will count as just the one.
If you are going to be away for any length of time that makes you unable to post, please let us know (SAY HOW!) and try not to get involved in any threads or plots taking place during that time.
Credits are given out for every character when you have posted weekly and can be earned in other ways also. You can use these credits to get extras such as a residence board for your character. For more information read our 'Member Credits' thread in this board.
Our week for posting and earning credits runs from Sunday to Saturday. Anything you post one week will be counted and given out the next Sunday.

Be nice and behave like the human beings we are. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Be respectful to everyone equally and remember this is a place of fun.
New rules will be added at the staff's discretion. Members will be notified if the rules change.
